About the Company
"Welcome to the South West Fire Control website.
"On our site, you will find information about the Company, its directors and the team based at South West Fire Control, who run the Company on a day-to-day basis.
"I have been in post for about two years now, and during that time we have seen many changes, both physically at the site and in the project. Our regional control centre has been completed and fitted out, ready for the task ahead. You can find more details about the building here, and you can also watch a video showing how our big screen was built, here.
"There have also been changes within the project, including the announcement from CLG of a delay to the original cutover dates. Although this was disappointing news, we have also welcomed the delay as an opportunity to ensure that all the testing and training is carried out to exacting standards before the go live date.
"Even with the delay, things are still moving ahead at a fast pace, both locally and nationally, and we will continue to work to have everything in place ahead of the revised cutover dates.
"We are looking forward to being part of the local community in Taunton, working with people across the whole South West region and across the country.
